One of my very first Oil Paintings. Possibly 20 years old!
I still remember painting this in an after hours “TAFE” course in a class room at a local school(Stafford Heights). The fruit was plastic, and my fellow class mates were too busy chatting to paint…but I learnt quite a bit, mostly that it’s all about painting what you see, not what you think you see.
I even remember my teacher’s name, Penelope Gilbert Ng. I’ve followed her success’ through the years, and recently saw her featured on “Colour In Your Life”.
